Colin O’Donnell finished second with a time of 16:15 at the PAC Cross Country Championship at Limerick Park on Oct. 14. Following him were Easton DeBlaay (17:20) and Kai Barnes (17:51). Jason Nagle, Logan Terranova, Parker Viscusi, and Tucker Hazelton followed, helping the Warriors to a third-place finish for a second consecutive year.
Jaimie Bone was the first female finisher for Methacton, good for 40th place, in 23:02. Following her were Gigi Torres (23:20) and Emily Reich (23:59)
Nathan Dietrich took fifth in the junior varsity race in 18:17, helping the squad to a fourth-place finish. Melina Karagiannopoulos was the first Methacton female to finish in the girls’ junior varsity race in a time of 24:43. She placed 25th in the race overall. Mya Frazier was the second Methacton girls’ finisher in a time of 25:11.
The girls’ varsity runners took 43rd at Districts on October 24th behind the efforts of Gigi Torres, who ran a 21:44, Jaimie Bone (22:00), and Ashley Hermus (22:47).
The boys’ varsity runners continued their success, taking 20th at Districts behind the efforts of Colin O’Donnell, who placed ninth, running a time of 15:27. He qualified for states, breaking the school record in the 5K previously held by Brock Yoder. Easton DeBlaay ran a 17:13, and Jason Nagel rounded out the top three, running a 17:18.
O’Donnell placed 28th in the state meet in Hershey with a time of 16:40.
