The Methacton Music Boosters were onsite to raise awareness about the program. They sold merchandise to raise money for the marching band. With the help of booster parents, MHS marching band and color guard members Emily Geiger (Drum Major), Ian McAdams (Percussion), Katie Thress (Tuba), Sam Rorick (Saxophone), Jonathan Subsabranni (Saxophone), Jenny Jiang (Trumpet) and Dylan Bower (Color Guard) showed up to perform. They played stand tunes and performed to pieces from this year’s show Reflections. The impact was made and appreciated by many. One passerby said, ¨Marcing band has saved [my]daughter´s life¨.
The Theater company had a show stopping table with Alice in Wonderland decor. The group sold baked goods, play tickets and raffle tickets to raise money for the fall play Alice in Wonderland and the upcoming spring musical Little Shop of Horrors. Seniors Hunter Maertzig and Samantha Cranmer primarily led the sales.
The Methacton Cheerleaders showed their spirit and enthusiastic energy having sold baked goods to help fund the program for future years
The Art of Giving, led by junior Talia Smerecki, was a nonprofit organization that appeared at the Fall Fest as well. The group explained how students can donate their art to the group. In turn those students earn community service hours for the time they spent making their piece. The art submitted becomes available for sale. Money raised at the event goes to less fortunate schools that lack art programs.
