The Warriors boys basketball team faced off against Pope John Paul II in a PAC matchup on Dec 12. The Warriors, coached by Coach Patrick Lockard, came into the game with a 1-0 PAC record after defeating Perk Valley earlier in the week. However, after a tough battle against the Panthers, led by Coach Wise, the Warriors fell, 49-54. Senior Sal Iemmello had a standout performance, leading the team with 21 points. The game was highly competitive, but Pope John Paul maintained a small lead for most of the game. As of this contest, the Warriors’ overall record stood at 1-3, and their PAC record is 1-1. The gym was full of energy, with the student section dressed in country club outfits and cheering loudly for the team. Looking ahead, the Warriors will face PAC opponents Boyertown and Spring-Ford during the week of Dec. 16 as they aim to bounce back.
