FCCLA, sponsored by FCS teachers Mrs. An and Ms. Pilman, hosted a Secret Garden themed Holiday Tea on Dec. 2, a luncheon welcoming staff members to the FCS Suite during the school day. Mrs. An’s Today’s Foods classes prepared much of the cuisine, and Mrs. An made a few of her personal recipes as well (such as her version of Asian chicken). Club presidents Olivia Navarrete and Kyla Chan said, after all of the club’s decorative and cooking efforts, the event was a success.

“This year’s Holiday Tea was one of the best we’ve ever had, as we heard from many of the staff members in attendance. Mrs. An made food that was more entree style, instead of small appetizers, which the staff seemed to really enjoy. The Tea also doubled as a fundraiser for the So Much to Give Inclusive Cafe. Teachers could donate to the cafe, which employs individuals with special needs. It was great to combine the Tea with a fundraiser,” said Navarrete.
