Freshman boys basketball holds future promise

The boys freshman basketball team completed their season with a victory at Perkiomen Valley.

Led by Coach Wise, the team finished with a 13-2 record. The team’s two loss season would most likely be the result of the absence of 6’8” center, Jeff Woodward, who moved to varsity. Shooting guard Nick Romano says, “It was a lot harder without Jeff because he is a just a monster.”

Andrew Bregman and Nick Martin proved to be influential this year, stepping up and teaching new guys such as Dan Carr and Jake Rutledge. The team learned a lot from playing with each other, and secured a handful of skilled players for the next few years.

“I learned how to play very well as a team, and I think this team will be great in a few years especially with Jeff and Brett [Eberly],” said Romano. Eberly found his place with JV.
