Spirit Week Features Pink Out and Green and White Days Prior to the Pep Rally

Spirit Week featured Pink Out Day on Oct. 8 giving students a chance to wear pink clothes and accessories to show their school spirit and to show support for breast cancer awareness. A number of students added a third element to the day by painting pink onto their bodies and faces. And others dyed or colored their hair pink.
Spirit day possibilities were listed by the Student Council and voted on by the student body via Google Classroom. The winners included USA, Pink Out, Groutfit and Green and White.
Green and White Day fell on Oct. 11, the final day of Spirit Week. Students wore MHS colors and moved their celebration of the Warriors to the stadium where the annual pep rally honored the school marching band and sports teams. Select teachers were pied for charity after the homecoming court was announced. To end the afternoon, the seniors won the tug of war as well as the annual Powder Puff game.
